Parwano

Situated at an altitude of about 470 metres above sea level in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh is the serene hill station Parwano. The scenic hill station houses the largest fruit processing unit of HPMC and lies on the border between the state of Himachal Pradesh and Panchkula district of Haryana. Surrounded by lush green forests and beautiful forests the hill town has emerged as an important industrial town in the recent times. Being on the border the hill town serves asa gateway to many hill stations in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

KEY ATTRACTION AT Parwano

Parwano is spread in the radius of about 4 kms and is great place for trekking and nature walks. The fir and pine forests and the mesmerizing hills offer the ideal atmosphere for day long treks and relaxed walks. There are many popular trekking trails that are available to explore.

Some of the famous places to visit in Parwanooare the Cactus garden, Mansa Devi Temple, Shri Balaji Temple, Gurkha fort and Sweet fruit orchards.

The accessibility to other popular places to visit is easy as Parwano is a border town. Pinjore gardens are just 10 km away where as the serene hill resort of Kasauli is situated at a distance of 37 kms. Dagsha the erstwhile British cantonment with its evergreen pine forests and beautiful church is only at a distance of 28 km, and Subatru cantonment town with the remains of the Gurkha Fort is around 16 km from Parwano. The beautiful and the largest lake of Himachal Pradesh, Renuka Lake, is about 132 km away. The lake is immensely popular for its underground springs.

HOW TO REACH Parwano

The best way to reach Parwano is by road. It is approximately a 3-4 hours drive from Delhi and about 2 hours drive from Chandigarh. Bus services are available from all state transports to this destination.

WEATHER AT Parwano

Parwano experiences a pleasant weather throughout the year. Summers are also good to visit as it is not too hot during the day as it remains sunny and warm while evenings are cool. Winters are cold and chilly as the mercury dips quite a bit. However, the place does not experience any snowfall as the many other hill stations of Himachal Pradesh.
